Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to safely maintain, diagnose, and repair power plant equipment, including boilers, controllers, instrumentation, MCCs, and switchgear from 120V to 13.8kV. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, calibration, and instrumentation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include testing and maintaining switchgear, generators, and energy-from-waste systems, along with plant shutdown support and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal technical or apprentice training; 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience with MV/LV electrical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and testing of low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.
• Perform maintenance of higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine driven generators.
• Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste boilers and its associated equipment, including pumps, fans, motors, conveyors & refuse cranes.
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems and complete all maintenance work records.
• Assist in plant shutdowns and teardown inspections of electrical equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document compliance with safety procedures.
