Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to safely maintain, diagnose, and repair power plant equipment, from 120V to 13.8kV, including switchgear and DCS systems, at our Maryland facility.

The role includes calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing, plus support during plant shutdowns. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience and a technical background. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal technical or apprentice training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and testing of low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.
• Perform maintenance of higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine driven generators.
• Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste boilers and associated equipment, including pumps, fans, motors, conveyors & refuse cranes.
• Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste air pollution control systems.
• Troubleshoot, assess, inspect, and adjust CEMS and all instrumentation (transmitters, level controls, temperature, flue gas analysis).
• Troubleshoot DCS and historian devices; calibrate and document maintenance actions.
• Perform preventative maintenance: calibration, thermography, ultrasonic testing.
• Operate calibration equipment and perform maintenance with safety practices.
• Complete maintenance records and support plant shutdowns.
