Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair power plant equipment, from 120V to 13.8kV, including boilers, control equipment, field controllers, MCCs and switchgear. The role emphasizes safe work practices and compliance, with hands-on work across electrical and instrumentation systems.

You will perform maintenance on LV/MV switchgear, transformers, DCS and CEMS components, conduct calibrations, thermography, and ultrasonic testing, support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal technical or apprentice training preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical/instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and test low/medium voltage switchgear, breakers, motor starters, and transformers.
• Maintain higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine generators.
• Repair and service energy-from-waste boilers and related pumps, fans, motors, conveyors, and cranes.
• Troubleshoot DCS, historian devices, and CEMS instrumentation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.
• Support plant shutdowns and complete maintenance records.
