Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Instrument & Controls Technician to manage electrical and control equipment across the plant, performing preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance. You’ll troubleshoot DCS, PLCs, VFDs, sensors and calibration while updating maintenance systems and work orders.

You must be willing to be on-call and work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet plant needs and safety standards. Energy from Waste or power-plant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with electronic/electrical and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and Distributive Control Systems.
• Ability to calibrate pressure, flow, temperature and other sensing instrumentation (Rosemount).
• Proficient in reading electrical prints and P&IDs; able to troubleshoot PLC hardware and logic.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate, test, calibrate and repair instrument & control areas and equipment.
• Assist redesign of instrumentation, control and electrical systems as needed.
• Monitor burners and ensure safe, clean, efficient plant operation.
• Perform other duties to support maintenance and safety goals.
