Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's OSB plant in Fordyce, AR is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance, enhancing uptime and reliability to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and controls; installing and repairing electrical components; and supporting projects and new equipment installation. Shift is 12-hour rotating days/nights with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or 3+ years of industrial experience in electrical/instrumentation.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge with other technicians for maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and controls.
• Troubleshoot and install equipment at the component level, ensuring compliance with state and company policies.
• Work on motors, pneumatic components, conveyor systems and production machines.
• Participate in project planning support and new equipment installation.
