Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s OSB plant in Fordyce, AR is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and controls.

This role performs preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability, supporting production and quality goals on a 12-hour rotating shift (days 6:00–18:00 and nights 18:00–06:00) with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree/certificate or a minimum of three years of industrial experience in electrical and/or instrumentation
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating electrical components

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge with other technicians for maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and controls
• Troubleshoot and install equipment at the component level, ensuring compliance with state, company plant codes, policies and procedures
• Work on motors, pneumatic components, conveyor systems and production machines
• Participate in project planning support and new equipment installation
