Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's OSB plant in Fordyce, AR is seeking a motivated Controls Systems Operator to support our Operations Team in the continuous manufacturing of OSB products. You will operate HMI systems, monitor control data, troubleshoot to optimize production, and perform routine asset care on-site.

Employees will work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights), with overtime and weekend requirements as needed, and must follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements to help meet production,

Qualifications

• Experience operating or monitoring production equipment from a control room using HMI, DCS or similar process control software.

Responsibilities

• Operate HMI (Human-Machine Interface) Systems to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or data entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot machines to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment that ranges from forklifts to heavy equipment.
• Adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures which includes wearing required PPE.
