Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's OSB plant in Fordyce, AR is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team. The role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance to improve uptime and reliability, supporting production and quality goals.

The position requires diagnosing and repairing PLCs, instrumentation, motors, pneumatics, and conveyors, with a 12-hour rotating shift (days and nights) and overtime as needed to meet plant targets.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or 3+ years industrial experience in electrical/instrumentation.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and controls to ensure uptime.
• Troubleshoot and install equipment at the component level per plant codes and procedures.
• Work on motors, pneumatic components, conveyors, and production machines.
• Support project planning and new equipment installation.
