Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s OSB plant in Fordyce, Arkansas seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold safe practices while troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes preventative and corrective maintenance to boost uptime and reliability, aligning with production and quality goals.

Day shift, 6:00am - 3:00pm CST, with overtime, holidays, and weekends. You will use standard tools and read blueprints, following all safety guidelines in a hot, humid, noisy plant environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial, military, agricultural or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fabrication and welding.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and uptime
• Performing periodic maintenance routines to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail
• Maintaining operations equipment to achieve optimal performance levels
• Working with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
• Adhering to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures with the ability to wear the necessary Personal Protection Equipment
