Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Inside Sales Specialist to pursue incoming leads, provide technical guidance, support complex bids, and convert customer needs into sales opportunities.

The role collaborates with sales, proposal, operations, and customer teams to keep opportunities moving from inquiry through order and delivery. Hybrid work from Houston, TX preferred; remote candidates may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• 8 years of experience including at least 3 years in the electrical industry.
• Experience with complex Bid, project proposal processes, and contract negotiations.
• Strong communication skills with ability to coordinate across customers and internal teams.
• Travel expectations < 10%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process by reviewing RFQs and overseeing Salesforce opportunities.
• Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Support business operations and sales performance by coordinating NDA/warranty processes and developing sales reports.
