Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically strong Inside Sales Specialist to support a growing sales organization in the United States. You will pursue leads, provide technical guidance, support bids, and help convert customer needs into sales opportunities, coordinating with sales, proposals, and operations to move opportunities forward.

The role offers hybrid work out of Houston, TX, with potential remote options. You will work across teams to ensure customer satisfaction from inquiry to order and delivery,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• 8 years of experience required, including at least 3 years in the electrical industry.
• Familiarity with 3-phase AC Power Systems and related equipment.
• Experience with complex bid, project proposal processes, and negotiations.
• Strong communication across customers and internal teams.
• Experience supporting EPCs, industrial end users, or large account sales preferred.
• Travel expectations < 10%.
• Candidate must have work authorization for the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process and key bid milestones.
• Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Assist operations and sales performance with account administration and reporting.
