Job summary

JD Martin Company is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Dallas to support sales efforts by handling customer inquiries, delivering product knowledge, preparing quotes, and entering orders. You will work closely with internal sales, distributors, and manufacturers to ensure projects run smoothly and materials arrive on time.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a customer-centric mindset to deliver a superior experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven inside sales experience in an industrial electrical industry is required.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills, verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes in industrial distribution is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online channels, presenting electrical products and solutions.
• Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes and negotiate prices using manufacturer pricing and guidelines.
• Review project specs and cable schedules to ensure correct product selection.
• Process sales orders, change orders, returns, and warranty requests with accurate documentation and status updates.
• Identify and qualify sales opportunities and collaborate with outside sales to close business.
