Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in New York is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial and industrial electrical projects. You will supervise Journeymen, Apprentices, and Helpers, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprint reading, field layout with Trimble, and coordination with other trades. You will develop material lists and schedules, mentor your team, and maintain NEC compliance on site.

Qualifications

• : 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with the capability and desire to grow in this area; able to lead ~5 crew members.
• Reads blueprints and contract documents from other trades; understands construction schedules.
• Willingness to learn and apply BlueBeam/Navisworks for project planning.
• Ability to communicate across trades and with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands; communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding tasks and communicating them to the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Independently measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry and project drawings.
• Layout work from electrical drawings; underground layout where applicable.
• Perform field layout using Trimble equipment and software.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot basic lighting and power circuits.
