Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project. The Foreman will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, leading installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems while mentoring the team.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and ensuring work meets NEC guidelines and project specifications. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach teams of ~5 electricians.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documents.
• Develop manpower schedules and communicate needs to supervision.
• Knowledge of NEC guidelines and local codes; ensure work meets standards.
• Proficient in reading project specs and distributing tasks across trades.
• Ability to use measuring tools, perform conduit sizing, and basic electrical layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands.
• Help achieve production and budget goals and communicate needs to the crew.
• Ensure work complies with NEC and local guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit and electrical devices.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
