Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project. You will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, leading installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while mentoring the team on site.

Responsibilities include scheduling, material list creation, and ensuring work meets NEC standards. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using BlueBeam/Navisworks is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians.
• Strong understanding of a small scope of work and ability to communicate with other trades.
• Willingness to learn blueprints and contract documents of other trades on site.
• Ability to read basic construction documents and work with project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew and ensure high quality of work.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs to the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install electrical conduit with tools.
• Install and terminate devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuitry and wiring.
• Read and interpret project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small work areas from drawings and documents, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
