Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project. The Foreman oversees a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, ensuring installation, alterations, and repairs meet NEC and project specs.

You will lead, mentor, and train the crew while coordinating material lists and schedules to achieve on-time performance. The role requires 7–10 years of electrical construction experience, strong leadership, and ability to read blueprints and project docs.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in electrical construction (commercial/industrial).
• Ability to lead a crew of ~5 (Helpers, Apprentices, Journeymen).
• Reads/understands blueprints and project docs.
• Communicates with other trades; negotiates work.
• Understands construction schedules; can develop/read them.
• Learning BlueBeam/Navisworks to interpret project plans.
• Participates in leadership training when offered.
• Demonstrates leadership, communication and sound decision-making.
• Brings required tools per company policy and adheres to Amteck Way.
• Willing to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor crew on the job site.
• Ensure work quality meets high standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and site needs.
• Support production and budget goals through effective team communication.
• Ensure compliance with NEC/local guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices and conductors on site.
• Read project specs and electrical drawings to plan work.
• Lay out small work areas from drawings and documents.
• Measure and cut conduit; perform basic wiring tasks.
