Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project. The role oversees a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians, performing installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while leading, training and evaluating the team.

The Foreman ensures work quality, develops manpower schedules, interprets blueprints, and coordinates materials for projects. Candidates should have 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work with the crew to ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate them to supervision.
• Help meet production and budget goals by understanding tasks and relaying to the crew.
• Ensure work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders.
• Read project specs and project documents; understand electrical drawings.
• Lay out small areas of work from drawings and documents.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing.
