Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project. The role oversees a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians, performing installation, alterations, and repairs while mentoring and evaluating the team.

The Foreman works under supervision to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with NEC and project specs, develops manpower plans, and drives productivity and budget adherence on site.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a crew of about five workers.
• Read and understand project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Able to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Strong communication with other trades and supervision staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor journeymen, apprentices and helpers on site.
• Ensure work meets high quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from plans and site needs; communicate to supervision.
• Support production and budget goals through effective task delegation.
• Ensure work complies with local codes and NEC requirements.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit and electrical devices as needed.
