Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Foreman Electrician position seeks an experienced leader to guide a crew on commercial and industrial sites. You will install, alter and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure work meets NEC guidelines.

You will develop manpower schedules, coordinate materials, mentor staff, and collaborate with project supervision to hit production and budget targets. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Proven leadership abilities; able to guide, mentor and coach teams of five.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs and schematics.
• Able to communicate with other trades and negotiate with trade supervisors.
• Knowledge of developing, reading and following construction schedules.
• Familiarity with BlueBeam, Navisworks and related planning tools.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating tasks clearly.
• Ensure crew work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from electrical drawings and project documents.
• Perform field layout using Trimble equipment/software.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
