Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in Lafayette, IN seeks a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects. You will mentor Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, review blueprints, lay out work, and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate material lists, schedules, and job-site demands while ensuring project specs are met and budgets are controlled. Strong leadership and 7–10 years of field experience required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead a team of ~5 workers (Helpers, Apprentices, Journeyman).
• Strong reading of blueprints and schematics.
• Able to coordinate across trades and schedules.
• Familiarity with contract documents and project specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and job site demands.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs to the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and panels.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuitry.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from drawings including underground layout.
• Perform field layout using Trimble equipment.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
