Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects. You will mentor Journeymen, Apprentices, and Helpers, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to NEC guidelines.

You will evaluate job scopes, develop material lists, and manage layouts using Trimble and related software. Weekend/overtime availability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead and mentor a crew of five, including Journeymen, Apprentices, and Helpers.
• Proficient reading of blueprints, specs and schematics.
• Experience with field layout using Trimble equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding tasks and communicating with the team.
• Ensure all work by crew is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Independently measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, brand circuits and feeders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry and project specifications.
• Read and understand project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Perform field layout using Trimble equipment and software.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
