Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial projects. You will lead, mentor, schedule resources, and ensure work meets quality standards and NEC/local codes.

The role requires 7–10 years of electrical construction experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints and project docs. OT and weekend work may be required; Trimble/Navisworks/BlueBeam skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
  • Demonstrates leadership with ability to grow; lead/mentor a team of ~5 workers.
  • Thorough understanding of a small, assigned scope of work.
  • Recognizes work outside of assigned scope.
  • Communicates with other trades and negotiates with trade supervisors.
  • Learns to read blueprints and contract docs for other trades on site.
  • Understands customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
  • Understands construction schedules for assigned work.
  • Learns BlueBeam, Navisworks to understand project plans.
  • Participates in leadership training when possible.
  • Shows leadership, communication and decision-making with desire to grow these skills.
  • Brings all required tools per company policy.
  • Demonstrates Amteck Way in daily work and decisions.
  • Able to work weekends/overtime on project schedules.
  • Willing to learn job-related material on the job, on-the-job or virtually.
  • Has field layout experience using Trimble equipment/software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
  • Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
  • Develop manpower schedule for the team.
  • Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
  • Help achieve production and budget goals by coordinating with the team.
  • Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
  • Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry and project specs.
  • Read blueprints and schematics; layout small areas from drawings.
  • Perform field layout using Trimble equipment and software.
