Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to supervise a crew of Journeyman, Apprentices, and Helpers on commercial/industrial projects in Kentucky. You will lead, train, and evaluate the crew while ensuring work meets NEC and local codes and project specifications.

You will develop manpower schedules, prepare material lists from layouts, read blueprints and schematics, size wires/conduits, install devices, and troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a team of ~5 electricians.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, specs, and contract docs.
• Able to read construction drawings and perform layouts.
• Ability to develop schedules and coordinate with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in the development of manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands for supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals and communicate needs to the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Read and understand project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Layout work from drawings, including underground layouts.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
