Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman Electricians on commercial and industrial sites. You will lead, train, and evaluate the team while performing installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, conductors, and equipment.

You will read blueprints, plan layouts, determine wire and conduit sizes, install devices, and ensure work complies with NEC and local codes.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with capability to grow in this area and coach teams of ~5 workers.
• Able to read and interpret project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong communication with other trades and supervision; negotiates assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure work quality meets high standards and safety requirements.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team to maximize productivity.
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate needs to supervision.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits and read project docs.
