Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in Kentucky is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on diverse commercial/industrial projects. You will install, alter and repair electrical systems while mentoring your team and ensuring quality workmanship.

You will develop material lists, read blueprints and specifications, schedule labor, manage safety, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals. Overtime and weekend work are common.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of ~5 electricians.
• Demonstrates understanding of blueprints, specs and schematics.
• Communicates with other trades and coordinates with trade supervisors.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands.
• Helps achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicates that to the team.
• Ensure all work done by crew is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Work independently to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and feeder conductors.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
