Job summary

Amteck seeks a Foreman Electrician in Ohio to lead a crew of Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers on commercial and industrial projects. You will install, alter and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and mentor your team while ensuring work meets NEC and local codes.

The role requires 7–10 years of field experience with demonstrated leadership, strong scheduling and safety discipline. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Understanding of project schedules and ability to coordinate work across trades.
• Strong reading of blueprints, specs and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew to ensure high quality workmanship.
• Develop manpower schedule for the team and communicate it to supervision.
• Create material lists from layouts and job-site demands.
• Meet production and budget goals by planning and communicating tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and electrical devices.
• Read project specifications, blueprints and schematics; lay out work from drawings.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing; perform basic troubleshooting.
