Job summary

Amteck in Union, SC is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial projects. You will oversee installation, maintenance and repair, review blueprints and project documents, and ensure work meets NEC and local codes.

You will mentor the team, develop manpower schedules, manage material lists, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals, while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead and coach a team of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians.
• Thorough understanding of a small, assigned scope of work and recognizing out-of-scope tasks.
• Basic reading of blueprints, project specs and contract documents.
• Ability to coordinate with other trades and field supervisors.
• Willingness to learn BlueBeam andNavisworks for project plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work with the crew to ensure quality of work to high standards.
• Develop an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands and communicate them to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs to the team.
• Ensure all work is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out work from drawings and project documents, including underground layouts.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing accurately.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
