Job summary

Amteck seeks an experienced Foreman Electrician to supervise a crew on commercial/industrial sites in Columbia, SC. You will lead, train and evaluate Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, ensuring high-quality installation, wiring and terminations while coordinating with supervision and other trades.

You will develop crew schedules, review layouts, and read blueprints to drive on-time project completion in line with NEC standards. Overtime and field training are common aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a small crew (~5 workers).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specs, and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of NEC guidelines and safety practices.
• Willingness to learn project plans and schedules; overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure work meets high quality standards and adheres to NEC.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Assist in achieving production and budget goals with effective communication.
• Install, terminate, and test electrical devices and conductors.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and diagrams to lay out work.
• Work with other trades and sites to ensure coordinated progress.
