Job summary

Amteck seeks an experienced Foreman Electrician in North Carolina to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, delivering on-site installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems while mentoring the team.

You will read blueprints, develop material lists, manage schedules, and ensure work meets NEC and local codes. Strong leadership and safe work practices are required to hit production and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience.
• Ability to lead a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians.
• Strong reading of blueprints and project documents.
• Ability to schedule manpower and coordinate with supervision.
• Knowledge of NEC guidelines and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards
• Assist in the development of an effective manpower schedule for their team
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands
• Helps achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs and plans to the team
• Ensure all work by crew complies with local and NEC guidelines
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and feeders
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics
