Job summary

Amteck in North Carolina is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, oversee a small crew, and perform installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems.

You will read blueprints, lay out work, size conduit and conductors, troubleshoot circuits, and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site, with a focus on safety and quality in commercial and industrial environments.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience performing electrical construction in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Ability to demonstrate the Amteck Way in daily work activities, behavior and decision making.
• Able to work project schedules including weekends and overtime.
• Willingness to participate in field training, whether OJT, classroom-based, or virtual.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to install electrical conduit and devices per drawings and specs.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of circuiting and sizing of wires, conduits, and boxes.
