Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project. You will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, leading, training and evaluating performance on site.

Responsibilities include quality control, manpower scheduling and material list development, as well as interpreting blueprints and project specifications to ensure NEC compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
Ability to lead, mentor and coach a five-person crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
Understanding of a small scope of work and ability to read project plans and contract documents.
Strong communication with other trades and supervision to assign work.
Willingness to learn blueprints and project documents, including related software when needed.
Basic understanding of customer relationships and satisfaction.
Experience with construction schedules and overtime on project timelines.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
Ensure high-quality work and develop manpower schedules for the team.
Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and conductors.
Read project specifications, blueprints and schematics on site.
Lay out work from electrical drawings, determine sizing, and perform basic troubleshooting.
