Job summary

Vertiv in Dallas, TX is seeking a Field Technician to assist in start-up commissioning, integration, and service of electrical switchgear and related devices. You will support on-site troubleshooting, customer relations, and collaboration with senior technicians.

The role requires hands-on electrical experience, ability to read diagrams, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain safety compliance. On-site work with travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASMET credential is preferred.
• Training in electrical theory and technologies beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Perform a variety of work-related tasks.
• Capable of working under general supervision but to a large degree independently.
• Maintain certifications per Job Progression table.
• Render on site and phone assistance to customers.
• Communicate with National Technical Support on equipment issues.
• Perform work related tasks according to company guidelines for scheduled maintenance.
• Implement Field Change Notices according to published guidelines.
• Keep current on Safety Bulletins, Safety Field Change Notices, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips.
