Job summary

RESA Power, LLC is seeking an entry-level Field Tech Apprentice focused on electrical testing and maintenance. You will gain hands-on experience with low, medium, and high voltage systems, under supervision, progressing toward independent field work.

This role involves data collection, testing, and on-call duties, with comprehensive training to develop essential skills in regulatory safety and equipment operation across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• No prior field experience required; technical school preferred.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage systems (up to 500kV).
• Perform testing and maintenance on low, medium, and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Inspect, maintain, test, and repair transformers and related equipment (45 KVA to 130 MVA).
• Maintain, test, and repair circuit breakers (low to medium voltage).
• Work with SF6-filled equipment and gas-insulated switchgear.
• Operate high voltage test equipment (Doble Power Factor sets).
• Participate in emergency on-call rotations and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
