Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative in the Dallas, TX area to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment at customer sites. You will receive direct product training and have access to company vehicles, tools, uniforms, and a laptop.

A typical day includes on-site service, reporting, safety compliance, and collaboration with managers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade certification or military training in electrical disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC power and power distribution components.
• 2+ years in field service or related repair with UPS and power systems.
• Experience with safety programs (lockout/tagout) and NFPA-70E or OSHA preferred.
• Strong written reporting and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance and field modifications.
• Diagnose issues with customers, electricians, sales partners and support teams.
• Complete service and expense reports and startup/data sheets.
• Travel regionally or nationally as needed, including overnight stays.
• Assist senior technicians and support project management on larger start-ups.
