Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) seeks a Field Service Lead to manage a team of field service technicians and engineers. The role blends hands‑on startup/commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IEM products at customer sites with direct leadership of roughly 8 technicians across 2–6 active sites.

You will mentor technicians, supervise field activities, and act as the technical lead. Travel to facilities for training, site work, and factory tests will be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience in power distribution systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of field service experience, emphasis on start-up and commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear and electrical distribution systems preferred.
• Understanding of LOTO procedures and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of field service technicians and engineers.
• Coordinate start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Provide daily mentorship, training, and technical guidance to technicians.
• Travel to customer sites and training facilities as required.
• Identify risks and coordinate with management to keep projects on track.
• Ensure tools, materials, and documentation are ready for site work.
• Collaborate with project managers, commercial, and admin teams to support scope.
• Maintain safety compliance and quality during field activities.
