Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Lead to manage a team of technicians delivering startup, commissioning and maintenance at customer sites.

You will supervise day-to-day field activities, provide advanced troubleshooting guidance, and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completed work. This hands-on leadership role requires travel (up to 75%), strong safety acumen, and the ability to resolve issues quickly while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, vocational training, military experience, or equivalent in power distribution systems.
• Minimum of 2 years field service experience focusing on start-up and commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution and control systems preferred.
• Familiarity with advanced communication protocols and networking preferred.
• Prior supervisory or lead-level experience preferred.
• LOTO procedures involving multiple power sources required.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning activities across multiple customer sites with on-time delivery.
• Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and training to field technicians.
• Serve as technical lead for product expertise and troubleshooting guidance.
• Travel to manufacturing or field facilities for training, tests, and shop activities.
• Identify project risks and report to management for action.
• Complete startup work, resolve punch lists, and ensure documentation is delivered.
• Coordinate with commercial and admin teams for scope exceptions.
• Ensure technicians have tools, materials and paperwork for site work.
• Report product or quality concerns and work with teams to address them.
• Schedule additional field resources with managers to meet service needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
