Job summary

IES in Austin, TX is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead field operations for electrical projects. You will supervise crews, oversee installation, maintenance, and repair work to meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements, while coordinating with project teams and customers.

Ideal candidates bring 4–6 years of electrical field leadership, blueprints literacy, and a strong focus on safety and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, troubleshooting techniques, and construction methods.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, applicable electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, project plans, specifications, and electrical documentation.
• Ability to effectively lead, coordinate, train, and provide direction to electrical field personnel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in the field.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, project requirements, and deadlines in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical crews and daily field activities to support project schedules, productivity, and quality standards.
• Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
• Review project plans, blueprints, specifications, schematics, and work orders and communicate requirements to field personnel.
• Ensure electrical work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, applicable electrical codes, and project requirements.
• Monitor jobsite progress, workmanship, materials, equipment, and site conditions and address issues that may impact safety, quality, or project completion.
• Coordinate with project leadership, employees, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments regarding project activities, material needs, schedules, and operational concerns.
• Provide direction, training, and support to electricians, technicians, apprentices, and other field personnel as needed.
• Identify and assist with resolving electrical, operational, and jobsite issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, work orders, and project documentation related to field activities and project progress.
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive jobsite while maintaining professional communication with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
