Job summary

DP Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee non-industrial electrical installation projects in Austin, Texas. This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating daily activity, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring high-quality work across field crews.

The successful candidate will read and interpret blueprints and drawings, supervise electricians and apprentices, and serve as a key link between field teams, Project Managers, and other trades.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Ten years of electrical construction experience, including leadership.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction operations, and safety standards.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical crews carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Plan daily activities, assign tasks, and provide clear instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes and safety requirements.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, schedules, and the use of labor.
• Identify site issues and resolve electrical problems promptly.
• Coordinate with project leadership and other trades.
• Train, support, and mentor electricians and apprentices.
• Manage tools, equipment, and materials.
• Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project records.
