Job summary

IES Residential Inc seeks an Electrical Leadman to perform advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across diverse job sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.

The role requires 2–4 years of field experience and a valid Master Electrician license; you will read blueprints, lead crews, and coordinate with vendors to keep projects on schedule. This is an on-site Texas position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, troubleshooting techniques, and construction methods.
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, applicable electrical codes, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, project plans, specifications, and electrical documentation.
Ability to effectively lead, coordinate, train, and provide direction to electrical field personnel.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in the field.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, project requirements, and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations.
Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, mobile devices, and applicable systems or software.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project leadership, field personnel, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks.
English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
Spanish speaking preferred.
Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate project execution.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
Assist with training, mentoring, and leading less experienced technicians as needed.
Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
