Job summary

DEPCOM Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator - Repowering & Restoration to develop accurate estimates for retrofit, repowering, and restoration of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. The role requires strong electrical construction estimating skills, proficiency with InEight Estimating, and the ability to analyze risks and drive competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating electrical construction work for electrical contractors, EPCs, or similar.
• Experience estimating work on existing facilities with incomplete documentation.
• Knowledge of cost estimating best practices, methodologies, and estimating software tools.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs, labor modeling, productivity analysis, and contingency development.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering docs, BOMs, one-line diagrams to develop accurate estimates for solar and BESS projects.
• Develop bottoms-up cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and mobilization.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure competitive costs.
• Lead the integration of actual project costs and lessons learned into estimating methodologies.
