Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks an Electrical Estimator to support retrofit, repowering, and restoration projects across utility-scale solar facilities. You will develop bottoms-up cost models for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, and review as-built docs for scope validation.

Collaborating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, you will refine assumptions, assess risks, and contribute to competitive proposals while traveling to site

Qualifications

• Experience estimating electrical construction work for an electrical contractor, EPC contractor, or similar organization.
• Experience evaluating and estimating work on existing facilities where documentation may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.
• Knowledge of cost estimating best practices, methodologies, and estimating software tools.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs, labor modeling, productivity analysis, vendor quote evaluation, and contingency development.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering documentation, design packages, one-line diagrams, BOMs, and project specifications to develop accurate estimates for solar and BESS repowering, restoration, and retrofit projects.
• Develop estimate assumptions, exclusions, allowances, escalation factors, and contingency strategies to appropriately manage commercial risk.
• Partner with project development, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate scope assumptions and identify project risks prior to proposal submission.
• Develop and maintain material, equipment, labor, and productivity databases by partnering with procurement and execution teams.
