Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an Estimator II to support bid preparation for electrical construction projects. The role involves takeoffs, subcontractor quotes, and presenting cost estimates to senior leadership for bid packages.

With a mix of field and office work, the estimator will gather supplier quotes, perform cost analysis, and ensure timely, accurate bid delivery. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction technology, estimating techniques and cost control.
• Interpret computerized cost data and electrical systems.
• Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
• Read and interpret engineering design drawings, specifications, and front-end documents.
• Identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements.
• Proficient in using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and requirements.
• Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work and entering them into the estimating system.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness.
• Itemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing bid packages.
• Provide guidance to personnel preparing the completion matrix for bids.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs with senior estimators based on site conditions.
• Compile and present scope of work, pricing and quotes to leadership for bid packages.
• Explain estimates to project teams during turnover and transition of projects.
