Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an Estimator II to prepare and complete bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will gather data, review drawings, and collaborate with senior estimators to ensure competitive bids.

The role supports small to mid-sized projects under moderate guidance, with opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering and has at least three years’ experience in estimating commercial or electrical

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specs and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare estimates by performing takeoffs and entering data into the estimating system.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers/subcontractors and review for completeness.
• Itemize and quantify subcontracts, equipment, tools, and supplies for bids.
• Assist senior estimators with labor productivity and unit cost calculations.
• Present estimates and scope to leadership for bid decisions.
• Explain estimates during project turnover to management and team.
• Maintain organized files of assumptions and methodologies.
