Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking an Estimator II to prepare bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will work with senior estimators to develop scopes, quantities, and pricing, and present them to leadership for bid decisions.

Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical estimating experience is preferred. This role includes travel up to 10%, and offers ESOP, 401k, annual bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects, preferably electrical.
• Proficient in Accubid estimating.
• Proficient in CAD or 3D software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specs and drawings to determine scope.
• Prepare estimates by takeoff and entry into estimating system; verify accuracy.
• Identify qualified suppliers and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness.
• Itemize incidentals for bids including sub-contracts, equipment, tools and supplies.
• Provide guidance on completion matrix discipline for bids.
• Develop labor productivity estimates with senior estimators based on site data.
• Present scope and pricing to Lead Estimator and Estimating Manager.
• Explain estimate and scope during project turnover.
• Complete client-required documents in a timely manner.
• Maintain backup files for estimating assumptions.
