Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an Estimator II to join our estimating team on electrical construction projects. The role prepares bid documents, performs takeoffs, sources quotes, and presents cost estimates to senior leadership, supporting small- to medium-sized bids with guidance from a senior estimator.

You will review drawings, compile scope, ensure accuracy, and maintain files for backup; travel up to 10% and collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects, preferably in electrical construction.
• Proficient in Accubid estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and requirements.
• Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work and entering them into the computer estimating system; review the estimate printout for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness according to plans and specifications.
• Itemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing the bid packages, including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools, and supplies.
• Provide guidance to personnel preparing the completion matrix discipline for assigned bids.
• In conjunction with Senior Estimators, develop labor productivity and unit costs based on projected site conditions and historical data.
• Compile and execute the scope of work, address technical requirements and pricing, then present them to leadership.
• After the successful bid, meet with the project management team to explain the estimate, scope, quotes, and transition aspects.
