Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in Coppell, TX is seeking an Estimator II to prepare bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will review drawings, quantify scope, and work with senior estimators on mid-size projects to win bids.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of estimating experience; CAD/Accubid proficiency is preferred. The company offers ESOP, 401(k), generous PTO and holidays, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction technology, estimating techniques, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, front-end documents, and specifications.
• Strong proficiency with computer estimating systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to define scope of work and requirements.
• Prepare estimates by calculating takeoffs and data entry into estimating system with accuracy.
• Identify suppliers and subcontractors; solicit quotes and review for completeness.
• Provide guidance on bids and work with Senior Estimators to develop labor costs.
• Compile scope of work and present to Lead Estimator and Estimating Manager for bid.
• Explain estimates and scope during project turnover with PM and senior staff.
