Job summary

Rosendin is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid preparation for electrical construction projects. You will work with estimators, suppliers, and customers to complete detailed cost estimates and ensure accuracy.

The role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating quotes, and guiding junior staff to deliver competitive bids. Ideal candidates have a construction management or engineering background, 4+ years estimating experience, and proficiency with Accubid, Livecount Cloud, Bluebeam, CAD or 3D

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and design drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimates.
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate group effort.
• Mentor and assist with development of estimators.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams clearly.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office suite.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-off and print details.
• Review specs, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to save costs.
• Lead subordinate estimators on assigned bids.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers/subcontractors and compare with plans.
• Ensure timely completion of client-required documents.
• Provide scope and pricing reviews to Chief Estimator.
• Explain project scope during turnover and support project teams.
