The ideal candidate has 1–3 years estimating experience, a relevant degree, and knowledge of electrical codes. Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of estimating experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; education/experience may substitute.
• Able to pass drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Analyze electrical drawings and specs to identify components and quantities.
• Perform material takeoffs and estimate labor hours for installation and testing.
• Maintain a current cost database for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals for clients.
• Identify cost saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Assess risks and develop contingency plans for cost control.
• Document estimating activities and communicate assumptions to stakeholders.
