Job summary

10X Business Consulting is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our project teams in Charlotte, NC. You will prepare cost estimates for electrical construction projects by reviewing specs, drawings, and BOMs, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to reflect scope, materials, labor, and equipment in every estimate, helping bids reflect project requirements and timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to review bids, proposals, and Bills of Materials.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Understand construction processes at a basic level.
• Proficient with MS Office and general computer skills.
• Capable of taking direction with minimal supervision.

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role involves reviewing project specifications, plans, and other documentation to determine the scope of work and required materials, labor, and equipment. The Electrical Estimator will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates are comprehensive and reflect the project's requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to review and evaluate subcontractors' and vendors' bids, proposals, and Bills of Materials.
• Knowledgeable with construction documents, including the ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of the construction process.
• Knowledge of MS Office Programs and general computer knowledge.
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Preferred Education and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, Business Management, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Five (5) years of operational experience in estimating, with at least two (2) years of electrical trade experience.
