Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer with PE to lead technical decisions for data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will shape MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and grounding strategies across project life cycles.

You will mentor engineers, provide technical governance, review designs, support RFIs, and collaborate with global delivery teams to ensure reliable, cost-effective power solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• PE License active in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; NCEES preferred.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering in data centers/mission-critical facilities.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, redundancy, and related distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture and major technical decisions from utility service through IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for power systems and distribution.
• Lead or review power studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash) using ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, or equivalent.
• Provide governance of calculations, drawings, specs, and equipment selections across teams.
